Somehow, I've never seen this before. Major misstep on my part as this pic is ane of the funnest movies ever made.

An entertaining Roger Corman produced (punk) rock comedy starring Mary Woronov, P.J. Soles, Paul Bartel, Clint Howard and the Ramones (Marky had already replaced Tommy by this point.) It features Ramones music (of course) only also songs by the Velvet Underground, Nick Low, MC5 and Alice Cooper.

With lots of teen antics, some explosions and fifty-fifty an anthropomorphized rat (played by special fx/ brand-up creative person Rob Bottin), this movie is pretty wild.

Watched with Michelle for one of our multi-continent lookout man parties.

This is 1 of the funniest films of the 1970's, and holy smokes I beloved the cast. I hadn't watched this in forever, coincidentally information technology's merely what I needed atm!

I kept thinking about that connectedness watching Stone 'N' ROLL HIGH Schoolhouse, not only because its style is such a giddy update/parody of '50s and '60s school tropes and rock movies, only considering it's grounded by a spunky teenage girl and is as much about her and her friend getting through loftier schoolhouse as it is getting the Ramones to come play there.

It's a very funny pisstake high school flick with plenty of running visual jokes and lightheaded puns of the Leslie Nielsen ilk. And so much fun and so much great music it's hard to sit still. This would be wonderful with a big agglomeration of like-minded people in a movie theater, Rocky Horror mode.
